Almost…

so yet another year will end very soon.  In fact, not even 2 days left in 2009 ><

今年もそろそろ終わりですね〜。なんだかあっという間だったな＞＜

I gave up on having another doll on Christmas and decided to get a new camera.  I think it was a wise decision for me lol.  So on Christmas day, I went to do some test shots in the Queen Elizabeth Park.  My model is Daiya, of course lol.

今年のクリスマスはめずらしく人形は買わずに、カメラを買ってもらいました。私にしてはなかなかまともな選択である（うむ）。せっかくおニューのカメラなので、２５日はQueen Elizabeth Parkに試し撮りに行ってきました。当然モデルは大弥です（おい）

as it was pretty cold and I didn’t read the manual before the shoot, most pictures turned out crappy and blurry but Daiya still looks cute so I’m uploading some of them anyways :p

しかし寒かったー！＞＜そして、カメラのマニュアルも読まずにいきなり撮ってきたので、寒いわ、使い方は分からんわでほとんどダメダメな写真ばかりでした（苦笑）。が、大弥はかわいいのでとりあえず数枚アップです（こら）

大弥の後ろに見えるのが、バンクーバーのダウンタウンです。（大弥は寒いと言って機嫌悪かったT−T）

oh, BTW, my new camera is Canon G11.  My choice was between this one or Rebel XTi but I chose this one because after some thinking, I’m really not a SLR person.  I rather carry more dolls than lens. lol.  It’s ok, I have no intention of starting a photography career (lol) so G11 will do everything I want it to do XD!

I quite like the ‘antique’ look of this camera too.

お、そうそう、おニューのカメラはキャノンG１１です。レベル（日本版キャノンキス）にするかG１１にするか悩んだのですが、やっぱりどう考えても私は一眼レフタイプじゃないのでこちらに決めました。重たいレンズより人形を多く持ちたいタイプなので（笑）。ま、カメラは基本人形を撮る事にしか使わないし、わざわざSLRを買う必要も無いしね（苦笑）。多分，こいつであと３年は満足出来そうです（笑）。

昔のカメラっぽい外観も結構好みです。（ダイアルがついてる所とかXD！）

Since G11 comes with full manual modes, I wanted to take advantage of it and actually learn how camera works, I’ve read 200 pages of their use guide. lol.

コンデジのくせにフルマニュアル操作が出来るという事なので、付属のマニュアル約２００ページ、読みました（笑）。カメラって本当に難しいよね＞＜オートモードで撮っておけば誰でもそれなりの写真が撮れるくらいカメラの技術もすすんでるけどし、プロとアマチュアの境が薄くなってきてる今日この頃だけど、それでもやっぱりこんなに複雑な機能を使いこなして凄い写真を撮ってしまうカメラマンって素晴らしいと思う。。。まあ、私は単純にかわいい人形写真が撮れればそれで満足なので，気長に勉強して行こうと思います。

そして早速、学習した事を生かしつつ、再度チャレンジ（笑）

below is shot with “my color” mode in red (accent on red) (Vignette is added on lightroom later on but no colors are tweaked)

マイ・カラー・モードの赤で撮ってみました↓（赤が強調されるモードだそうです）回りの黒い影はライトルームで加工してるんですが、色はいじってません。

below is shot with “accent” mode which emphasize on one color and make everything else black and white.  Pretty cool, eh?

下はアクセントモードってやつです。アクセントをつける色を一色選ぶとそれ以外が全部白黒になってしまうモードです。すげ〜！これ、結構使えそうだ＠＠

Below is shot with….. somewhat manual mode (AV with… some mode that allow me to take photos in low light, I forgot :p)

下のショットは。。。何のモード使ったか忘れました（おい）。たしか、アパチュア・バリューモードで室内でもきれいに撮れるなんたらかんたらモードでした（おい！）爆

oh, he’s Mr. Crystal Head Jon got me for Christmas. lol!

ちなみに、この方は新入りさん。ジョニーが買ってくれました（笑）。中にカナダ産のウォッカが入ってます（笑）

Also… since G11 let me shoot in RAW mode, I’ve decided to start using Adobe Lightroom.  Most features (modes) are pretty similar to photoshop except for the layout.  Lightroom is designed to organize the photos really well.  I still don’t know how to use it much but hopefully I can learn to use it soon.

G１１はRAW（生？笑）写真が撮れるとの事なのでアドビ・ライトルームも新調しました。今まではMacBookについてきたiPhotoとフォトショのみだったので、これでまとめて加工と写真の整理が出来るようになりました。アドビの細かい操作はフォトショとかイラストレーターとかとさほど変わらないみたいなので，慣れてしまえば問題なく使えそうです。

anyways, in case I don’t write another entry tomorrow, I hope you all had a wonderful year and may your new year will be another greater one!

そんな感じで，来年はさらにグレードアップした人形生活が送れるといいな〜なんて思いつつ。。。明日ご挨拶出来なかった時のために一応。。。
